Stephenie MeyerFame wasn’t always a part of, Arizona resident , Stephenie Meyer’s life. She spent her time taking care of her three young sons, but on June 2, 2003 all of that changed.

Stephenie awoke from a dream involving fictional characters she just couldn’t ignore. While the stay-at-home mother knew she had to get up and tend to her everyday tasks, she stayed in her bed, thinking about the characters she had just dreamt about. This talented writer brainstormed the plot while she cared for her young children. She had no idea her life was about to take a drastic turn.

Stephenie Meyer released her very first novel, Twilight, on October 5, 2005. The novel immediately topped the charts. Everyone quickly fell head-over-heals for the novel’s love story. Readers needed more from these star-crossed lovers.

A year after Twilight, Stephenie released the highly anticipated sequel, New Moon, in September 2006. Fans went crazy for the new novel, keeping it at #1 on The New York Times bestseller list for over 25 weeks!

Once the third installment, Eclipse, was released in August 2007, the saga had become a worldwide phenomenon!

Working on, The Twilight Saga was not the only thing on Stephenie’s mind. On May 6, 2008, Stephenie’s newest craze, The Host, hit shelves all over. Stephenie’s devoted fans scooped up the new adult novel by the talented author. The novel immediately hit #1 on The New York Times bestseller list. And now, over two years later, we can still see the novel on the list.

Just three months after, the final installment to The Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn was released in August of 2008. Fans lined up for the midnight release of the novel, braking sales at 1.3 million copies sold within the first 24 hours.

From there the saga went on from a worldwide book phenomenon, to being a worldwide movie phenomenon! Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), and Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) brought the characters to life. With Twilight, and New Moon already released on DVD, fans are going crazy for the June 30, 2010 release of Eclipse. To follow in November of 2011 will be the film release of, Breaking Dawn.

Along with the saga, Stephenie has announced that, The Host will also become a movie.

Work for this talented writer never seems to be ending. Stephenie recently announced that she’s releasing an Eclipse “Novella”: The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. The Novella is set for release on June 5, 2010. In this highly anticipated short story, fans of the saga get a chance to see things from newborn vampire, Bree’s perspective. She’s a young girl, turned into a vicious vampire, and set to hunt down Bella Swan. Bree isn’t killed by Bella’s protectors, the Cullen’s, but she is taken down by the Volturi. In this short novel, Stephenie gives her fans a chance to read from a true newborns point-of-view. For this novel, despite the future release date, fans around the world are grateful for the Novella.

Stephenie also plans on continuing on with the world of The Host. As of right now there are no immediate plans on when this will take place. But keep in mind Stephenie likes to keep her readers on their toes. We never know what her next move will be.
